Current (art) Obsessions

1. AppleTV TV Shows 

   While their movies are little lackluster at times, AppleTV’s TV shows are incredibly well-made. They don’t have many seasons because they are on the newer side but a great place to start is Severance and Dark Matter.

   
   

2. Severance 

   Following #1, Severance is arguably the most well-made TV show I’ve ever seen. The cinematography, the writing, the symbolism, the suspense…all GENIUS. Unlike anything else out there. (To be found on Apple TV)

   
   

3. Dune 2 

   This has become a comfort movie, bar none. The cinematography and music and connection to nature makes it feel like a cross between Avatar and Star Wars.

   
   

4. A24 

   EVERY. SINGLE. THING. A24 has put out in the last 2 years is INCREDIBLE. Just watched Heretic and it was one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve seen in a LONG time. Cannot wait for Opus to come out this weekend.

   
   

5. Police sitcoms

   More specifically, The Rookie. While the acting needs a little work sometimes it’s action-packed, great storylines, and not too gory. Perfect for a binge-watch or background noise (it’s 8 seasons).
